Refurbished Amazon Echo Wireless Home Speaker Review
The Amazon Echo speaker is a jack-of-all-trades.
First, it plays your music. With voice control, users can ask for a specific artist, song, or even genre, and Echo can connect with all of your online streaming accounts, including Amazon Music, Spotify, Pandora, IHeartRadio, TuneIn, Audible, and more. And, with 360-degree, omni-directional speakers, users can expect excellent sound quality from Echo no matter where they are in the room.
But music isn’t even half of what the Echo can do. Completely voice-controlled, the speaker connects to Alexa Voice Service to relay information, anything from the weather report to the latest sports scores. It can also be connected to your home’s smart appliances—think lights and thermostat—if they are compatible. With seven microphones, the Echo can hear you even over ambient noise. Simply say the wake word, “Alexa,” and it’s listening.
And the Echo is evolving, with recent additions to its capabilities, including order a pizza from Dominos and calling an Uber. Third-party app developers are always looking for ways to improve Echo’s competencies.
