20 Businesses That Are Here, Queer, and Selling Cool Pride Gear
As pride season ramps up, you're probably trying to stock up on some pride gear. The commercialization of pride has both helped and hurt LGBTQIA+ communities, so we wanted to create a guide that was supportive instead of exploitative.
We checked out some of our favorite LGBTQIA-owned businesses, found a few more awesome ones, and put together a list of products to help you have your best pride weekend ever.
Body glitter for shimmering skin
Take your summer glow to a new level with this appropriately named Lust Oil from Jade & Fox Co. Made with natural oils and fragrances as well as gold mica powder, this product will have you moisturized, sparkling, and smelling like a million bucks.
Awesome pride shirts for graphic tee lovers
Revel and Riot makes a host of cool, screen-printed pride clothing that can still be worn year-round. We're partial to their t-shirts which are unisex and range from S–2XL. Their cool designs range from funny to austere, so they can match just about anyone's personality.
A snapback for the punny masc
Selling this cap and a popular graphic tee, Thugz Maison's online store isn't exactly bursting with variety, but the quality reigns Supreme. This limited edition snapback from the San Franciscan brand is the perfect mix of a reserved design with an in-your-face message.
A handmade picnic blanket
Whether you're at Dolores Park or your local park, pride weekend isn't the same without a little lounging around in the sun. If you're in the market for a new picnic blanket, we recommend this Minna throw. Minna is a textile company born out of the blood, sweat, and artisan partnerships of Sara Berks.
If you're thinking this just looks like a Mexican blanket, you're absolutely right; these throws are made by a family-run co-op in Mitla, Mexico. Unlike the heavy, mass-produced blankets you're used to, however, these are lightweight, handwoven, and made solely out of cotton.
Gender neutral swimwear for those who don’t like binaries
Summer is here, queer, and ready for swimwear! Outplay makes swimsuit separates that can make people of any gender identity feel comfortable and ready for fun in the sun. Their swimwear bottoms are also great, neutrally toned options for guys. If you want something a little louder, check out their Pride Collection.
A punk rock baby onesie for the tiny revolutionaries
Autostraddle's merch store is a treasure trove of queer clothing, accessories, and most importantly, this awesome onesie. For the babies and toddlers up to 24 months old who are ready to fight social constructs, this "Gender Traitor" onesie is ready to complete their wardrobe.
If your tiny tyke is a little less punk rock, we also love this Wild Feminist onesie from Wildfang.
A traditional bandana
The badass women behind Wildfang are all about adding a touch of femininity to menswear, from blazers to bowties. Wildfang is generally a retailer that slings some trendy clothes and accessories from their partnerships, but we love these bandanas from their own line.
Choose from a bright red bandana or a black bandana with some pink touches.
Premium lingerie for the pinups
Maybe you want this for the bedroom or maybe you're gonna strut your stuff at your local pride parade. Whatever your motivation, Dottie's Delights is flush with high quality lingerie to help you put forth your sexiest self. These pieces are made to fit feminine bodies from XS–3X, but you can also request custom lingerie!

Tailored suits for feminine frames
Do you want a nice suit that fits like a glove? Kipper Clothiers can you help you with that. Their Kipper Courier Collections include design swatches, an initial measurement appointment, and an another alterations appointment before your finished suit ships to your door.
Showstopping folding fans
Nothing provokes a chorus of "Yaas, queen" like opening a folding fan. These gorgeous fans from Wear It bring the drama (and optional bling) while keeping you cool. You can choose from one of their literally iconic designs or create a custom fan.
Sunglasses for the most extra divas
Sometimes you want to protect your eyes while blinding others. A great way to achieve this is by grabbing a pair of Burkinabaé sunnies. These sunglasses scream "Diva!" from every angle and are guaranteed to turn some heads.
A portable getting-to-know-you game
Make a splash at party or picnic with this fun card game. The Dive In Deck is a great way to break the ice or get to know your friends even better. Each one of the 32 cards is meant to "ignite and inspire" deeper conversations and connect to others on a more personal level.
A drink mixer made for summer
From cocktails to mocktails, a summer drink is only as good as the mixers you put into it. 18.21 Bitters has a great line of syrups and bitters, but we highly recommend their Hibiscus Cooler cocktail mix. It adds a refreshing lightness to both dark and light alcohol.
Instant coffee to keep the party going
Whether you're the first to wake up hungover at your friend's place or you need to keep the night going, these instant coffee tubes are real lifesavers. We recommend getting a 4-pack of these discreet and sturdy tubes to toss into your bag, fanny pack, or pocket.
Need more java and/or shudder at the thought of instant coffee? Equator sells the more time-consuming beans as well in different grinds: whole, coarse, regular, fine, and espresso.
Lip balm that’s not thrown from a float
Treat yo'self, specifically your lips, to this vegan lip butter from W3LL PEOPLE. You can snag it in a demure Nude, bold Cherry, or a Clear color, if you're just looking for some soft lips. Whichever shade you choose, we dare you to not blow kisses while wearing this lip butter!
A tabletop game for the indoorsy types
Pride isn't all about flamboyance and clubs; it's also about spending quality time with your friends and community. Anaxi, a card game from Funny Bone Toys, is a great update on Scattergories that adds a little color and even more brain power.
We especially appreciate that the colorful word cards are underlined differently (solid for red, dashes for orange, and dots for blue), to make the game more accessible.
