September 29 marks what is perhaps the most important holiday of the year: National Coffee Day. At The Guide, we LOVE coffee. Regular, drip, cold brew, lattes, cappuccinos—you name it, we drink it. As such, we are seriously jazzed for this greatest of holidays.

2017 plans are being announced real time. We’re staying on top of it and are updating this post as more information becomes available! See below.

Peet’s Coffee - 25 percent off a bag of coffee beans, as well as a free medium cup of drip coffee or tea on September 29. If you can’t make it to a Peet’s store, you can redeem your 25 percent off with the promo code coffeeday17.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf - These guys are offering a full weekend of coffee deals: 25 percent off coffee and capsules Friday through Monday.

Keurig - this company is offering 25 percent off coffee pods all weekend with the code CELEBRATE.

Starbucks - Because we all want to know what they are doing! They are not offering any deals, but on National Coffee Day, all Starbucks stores will remove their usual signage and replace it with information about their coffee farming processes.

Below, we want to share with you some of the places that had excellent deals on National Coffee Day last year.

Free Coffee: Excellent deals from top coffee proprietors.

Peet’s Coffee & Tea—Free medium coffee with food purchase last year.

Wawa—These guys offered free coffee all day in 2016.

Einstein Bros Bagels—Free coffee with purchase on National Coffee Day 2016.

Krispy Kreme—Perhaps the best deal of the bunch! In 2016, these guys offered free coffee AND a donut!

Cheap Coffee: Not free, but better than full price!

Dunkin Donuts—Dunkin charged only $0.66 for a medium cup of coffee on September 29, 2016.

Au Bon Pain—$0.99 coffee with breakfast purchase.

Giving Back: These companies made charitable donations on National Coffee Day.

McDonalds—All proceeds from coffee sold at McDonalds on September 29, 2016 was donated to Covenant House.

Love’s Travel Shops—$1 was donated to the Children’s Miracle Network for every 24oz coffee sold on September 29, 2016.

Starbucks—Last year, Starbucks donated a coffee tree for every brewed cup of Mexico Chiapas Coffee sold on National Coffee Day.

Caribou Coffee—For every cup of Amy’s Blend purchased, Caribou donated a cup of coffee to families, caregivers and nurses in cancer centers across the country.

Other Deals: No free coffee, but coffee-adjacent deals!

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf—In 2016, these guys had a deal where when you bought a Lieto Machine online, you’d get a free milk frother with a checkout code.

Seattle’s Best Coffee—On National Coffee Day, people were able to get $1.25 off one 12-ounce or 20-ounce bag of coffee with a coupon.

Places We’re Watching: These guys didn’t have deals last year, but we’re keeping an eye on them to see if they cave to National Coffee Day pressure!
