Calmforter Weighted Blanket Review

Anyone who is raising small humans knows that adults aren't the only ones who get stressed. Weighted blankets can come in super handy if you have a kiddo who's anxious or has trouble sleeping. That said, it's imperative that adults buy weighted blankets specifically for children if there's a need—the adult ones are just too heavy!

After looking at a bunch of options, we decided that the Calmforter checks all of the right boxes. It weighs 12 pounds and is available in five color combinations. It also has a removable cover, which is key when purchasing items for children, who are sticky more often than they are not. The outer cover is made from a soft minky fabric with raised dots that help soothe sensory issues on one side and a smooth surface on the other. The cover is very easy to wash; it zips off the inner blanket and can be tossed in the washing machine.

This blanket's inner layer is made of 100 percent cotton and is filled with CloudSoft Polyfill, which uses a "Microbead" weighting system to keep weight evenly distributed.

One of our favorite things about this blanket is its size. A lot of the weighted blankets made for children are very small and they outgrow them very quickly. This one is 60" by 80", so your investment lasts a lot longer. There's no chance that six months from now your kid's feet are going to be sticking out of the bottom!
